We are FLY, Faith Lutheran Youth. Crazy name I know, but it works and its fun. After lively discussion and several votes it has become our name. We even have tshirts to go along with it available for $10 each. The design and picture were made by our youth.
We have two seperate youth groups who occasionally meet together for some activities.
Middle School Youth Group and Senior High Youth Group
We have our own youth room with couches, large screen TV, ping pong, pool, and foosball tables. And a mini kitchen where we keep a variety of snacks and drinks. We are located upstairs in the building across the street from our church, and have a half gym and stage too. It is a comfortable and fun place to come hang out and have our activities.
Both groups meet every Sunday at 9:30am for Sunday School. We discuss current events and other topics relevant for their age group, and how it impacts us and our faith, and how we can and should respond to it as young Christian men and women. We also play fun games along the way to reinforce what we learn.
We also meet every month, usually on Saturdays for about 2-3 hours, for fun activities. We bowl, play minigolf and paintball, go to the beach and camping, have theme parties, and many other fun activities. You can get specific times and dates for each activity by clicking on the group titles above.
Our activities are always supervised by at least 2 adults, and we welcome new parents to join us at any activity or event. If it is an overnight event though you will have to agree to and pass a background check at least 3 days prior to the activity. This is for the safety of all our children.
Every youth who wants to join us for any activity must also fill out release forms and get them signed by their parents. You can find them by clicking on the group titles above as well. Please note that the medical release form must be notarized before your child can join us.
We try to keep all our activities affordable and fun. We do a variety of events as well so that all children can find enjoyment in what we do here. We ask that you and your child both read together and sign our group covenant. These are just basic rules to ensure that everyone gets along and can enjoy a safe and fun environment.
